Hit the old bridge pylons. Caught about 15 with 4 over 13”. They were right on the pylons depth 7-10’ in 18 FOW. Great TIME!!

That is fun. I have not been back to Buggs in a while, but loved finding them on the bridge pillings. Sometimes they are there, sometimes not, sometimes scattered, sometimes in a very specific area and depth.
These are Buggs pillars.

Most of the time, they relate to the cross members, but sometimes they are on the bottom.

Since I learned to find them here on the river, 10 minutes from home, I got even more lazy. The 2 hour ride home from Buggs makes me a sleepy, dangerous mess.

This blows my mind. This particular structure is loaded on the right tide and almost barron on another. I don't know where they go. Trouble is the structure is so complex, it almost impossible to get to these fish. One day a crappie tournament will come to the James river, and will be perched here with a 3' and a 20' pole with 50# braid, and maybe a kayak in the boat so I can get to these fish. I can only dream about the fatties here. It is a mixture of small catfish, crappie and shad.
