Streamers and Jigs
https://dl-mail.ymail.com/ws/downloa...atQsFdD6xwgldl
Sitting up here wishing that I was anchored over a brush pile I tried to put my time to good use. After a bit of reading on jigs and flies I have tied these Clouser Minnow, Crappie Candy, and Crappie Killer. I also have some olive and some purple Wolly Buggers if the flashy colors aren't what they want that particular day.
Next I want to tie some jig heads. I'll have to order my jig heads as there aren't many of those up here in the arctic. I have powder paint so painting the jigs won't be a problem. Is there any reason to get jig heads other than 1/8 oz, and 1/16 oz? I could go 1/32 oz but will I really need these for Truman and LOZ?
Please, any recommendations on jig size, shape, collar, and even color would be greatly appreciated before I place an order.

For some reason my pic did not show up in my first post. I'll give it another try here

Truman 1/8 oz orange jig head.

We had this discussion in a facebook group I'm apart of the other day. 1/8 oz Orange jig was the most popular by far.

Thanks guys. 1/8 oz orange will certainly be among my jig heads. I’ll order some of each 1/8 and 1/16 oz and use orange heads as a default color when tying. Glad I asked because I would have thought 1/16 oz to be the most popular.

LOZ uses the lighter weight jig heads. I am thinking just plain or white for LOZ but you need to wait and see from guys that fish that regularly.

Didn’t think getting jig heads shipped to AK would be difficult but for some suppliers I suppose AK is a foreign country. Gave Jamie at Simply Crappie a call and he fixed me up with some 1/16 oz and 1/8 oz collarless jig heads with red sickle hooks along with some powder paint, including orange. I should be painting and tying jigs very soon thanks to Jamie.

Jamie is the man for LOZ. If you go to fish Loz give him a call and he will shoot you in the right direction.
