Garmin Sonar Help Needed
There are lots of YouTube videos out there for setting up a Humminbird fish finder, but I am running a Garmin Striker 7sv and I haven’t found many videos for setting up a Garmin. So, first, maybe I’ve missed something. What would you Garmin users suggest as good videos to watch?
And second, if you are using a Garmin Striker, how do you have the Sensitivity set on Traditional, Clearview and Side View? And what color setting have you found that shows the most detail? If you know of another setting that I have failed to ask about, please point that out as well.
I’m a newby to Crappie fishing, and so far, fishing on my own, I’ve been skunked every time. I would love to begin catching a few.
Thanks
GF

Hi GF,
I have the 7sv also. I have it mounted on the bow, transducer on trolling motor. I hardly, if ever have messed with the “settings” because I just use for depth and finding structure. I’m not much help to you on this, I just leave it on “traditional” and chirp. I’m not much help to you on this, I just know it works every time I’m in my boat.

wish garmin would put a video out on setting this up, I am having the same trouble.

Garmin is pretty simple. Color depends on your preference. I cycle back between blue and orange. Have a buddy who loves the red. I play with my graph all day, depending on depth and what I'm fishing...I don't think there is one setting that you can use all the time.
