Gardner lake 5-14-19

Water temp on the main lake 65-67, in the back of the coves it got up to 72. Had 10 keepers, from 2-8 FOW mix of males and females, females still had eggs. Had a bunch of short hits. Had we caught as many fish and we had strikes we would have ended up with a nice mess. I think they we just swatting at the jigs, protecting the nests. I'm not sure, it was frustrating missing so many. Water was stained, moss and grass is starting grow. I would think that the spawn on this lake would be this week with the 80 degree temps.
