Ft. Cobb for cats. No cats, but...

Figured shallow water at Ft. Cobb would be great for cats. Failed to get any shad, so used worms and shrimp. Got five nice hybrids and six drum. As usual, nine of the fish came on one of the four rods that were out. For the first time in a long time, I didn't bring the ancient rod with the broken reel seat (rotates around the rod). It is THE LUCKY rod, but my wife hates it. Maybe the new rod that caught all the fish today will be the new LUCKY rod, and she won't have to complain about the old rod.
ps. I am NOT throwing away the old rod, just use it when she doesn't come along.
