MICDC Animals
Having a couple of new puppies in the MICDC family has gotten me to thinking that we need to start a thread that is dedicated to all of our animals. So, if you have a dog, cat, cow, duck, or whatever else you call a pet, post a couple of photos.
This is also the place to share those awesome pictures that we all capture from time to time of the animals we love. This thread might just be the daily dose of cuteness that someone needs to make their lives a little better.

Cool idea Rich,
We got our first Yellow Lab back in 1983, and have had one ever since.
I’m gonna go back a ways with my pictures.

This one is Honey-Behr of Birge Isle.
I lost a lure fishing at Lake Missaukee back about 2001, so we stopped at Jays Sporting Goods to replace it and they were having “Puppy Days” so I bought her instead of replacing the lure.
We lost Honey-Behr about 3 years ago.
The next one is Honey-Behrs grandson Hunter....which my dad called “Wilbur” he was pretty special to us and gave 11 years worth of Joy before I had to put him down......this is his last ride with me in the truck, he had gotten so sick in the end he couldn’t hold his proud head up.

And now we have this little spitfire Miss Emma Jean, littermate to Rich’s “Charlie”.
We can’t wait to see the joys she brings to us.

I'll add my daily dose of photos.
We have been teaching Charlie (also known as "The Oger") how to sit. He does well with that (when using treats) and must do it before going outside or coming inside (our training device so they don't jump at the door all the time). He is learning "Drop it" as well as "Leave it" but those are repitition commands so it will take awhile. A new one I am using is "We don't play that way". We use this command when he starts to bite or chew on you or jump on you. This will be tough right now as he is a puppy and puppies chew on things... everything!
He has found a chink in the armor regarding the back door and is currently exploiting it for weakness. So far he has managed to remove the pink fluffy stuff (insulation) tucked in the cracks. I guess I need to trim that door out. We have also managed to dig up a flower pot in the dining room (found that this morning). We did however wear him out yesterday and he slept through the night. His eye sight is finally getting better. He was simply running full tilt at something and then hitting it with his head (like Peetie).
Last night, Peetie decided she had tolerated him long enough and put him in his place. Twice! She watches every move he makes and then looks at me as if to say "Daddy, he is being bad". On the flip side, Peetie is almost 16 and is deaf. She plays with him when she can but we cannot let her off the leash outside as she cannot hear when we call and we fear she will run off and get in to trouble. Charlie on the other hand has great hearing and is content to follow you around or walk next to you without a leash.
Enjoy:

My wife called to tell me the new Sportsman’s Warehouse store was now open in Lansing (the old Gander Mountain store) and I should take Emma shopping there....5 minutes later Steve Jr called to tell me also the store was open and had great pricing on ammo he uses, so.... I grab up the beloved ankle biter and head on over, maybe they will have a couple items I need.

If there is one thing for certain I’m sure of now, it is bring a puppy and you’ll meet everyone in the store!
Every aisle I went down folks wanted to hold the puppy which I was more than happy to allow, even at check out the cashiers and customers all wanted to pet her

Even as we walked in the parking lot we were greeted and Emma was loved on....one fella in a van asked if I could bring her over so his son could pet her which I did.
Judy asked if I’d bring her to her hairdresser in Grand Ledge since I was so close. The young lady (Hailey) that does Judy’s hair has been a friend of the family for 20 years and for a couple years dated my son Steve....so, of course I did
Attachment 343237
I can tell you this, my shopping trip lasted at least a hour more than I thought and I have no idea if their prices are good.....but Emma sure was wore out on the trip home.

It’s rough being a puppy....

Brian needs to take Charlie for the day. Maybe a good way to find him a date!
