Two lakes, 2 fishers, one day. 4/23/19
It started off long before daylight for Phillip and I below Watts Bar dam. I hooked one Striper and had it on for about 4 or 5 violent head shakes before he pulled off. That was it before all the out of state Striper guides arrived and started running through the fish. So we quit shortly after sunrise. We skunked.
Phil had stuff to do so when we got home so Candi and I got together for a dock shooting day. She requested it and I promised to fish docks which we did most of the time that we were out or until the lake began to whitecap.
We caught over 30 crappie with most being next year’s keeper class. In other words, juvenile crappie. But we had a few keepers as well. Fun day being out with a great dock shooting expert. She can hit a 4” opening under a dock better than most, including me.
We didn’t take very many pics today. Water temps at WB was 63.1 and at Skull Island ramp it was 69.4.
