when should bluegill start to come into the shallows to where u can catch lots for bait?dying t go flathead hunting but in winter early spring u dont see gills near the banks should they be coming into shallow water soon?

You should be catching the little ones now. I have been catching a lot of smaller fish this week. Cant hardly wait for the nice ones to show up. biggest one this week was 11.5 in shellcracker.
