I can't do it often, but this guy was asking for gas to get home.He had a five gallon can standing in front of a small motor home, with Florida plates.We had him pull to the pump,and helped him with 30 bucks. I will not give people money
If you see him pass it on.

I feel sorry for the folks but I also wonder how many are scammers.
I was in Tampa last week sitting in the car waiting on my wife, a fella knocked on my window and then said he had lost his debit card and needed money for gas, I said sorry no cash.
He then asked the lady next to me and she said "no you tried the same thing on me 2 weeks ago".
I am not saying your kindness wasn't needed, hopefully it was and bless you for trying.

You did good my friend and you will be justly rewarded. As for the scammers, they too will receive their rewards. I've done the same before and I always send them off with a prayer.

We help lots of people and more often than not it isn’t cash. We will buy gloves and hot beverages for pan handlers in the winter and my wife has witnessed a man who was given a hot meal while pan handling throw the food on the ground. When we buy clothes, and toys for children in need we remove the UPC codes making it hard for them to be returned as often times the parents take the kids stuff and return them for cash for drugs, alcohol, cigarettes etc. Those who scam will get their just rewards in time but it doesn’t lessen our call to help those who are less fortunate no matter how small the help may be.
