LOP re-revisited
They are still there in 10-12 feet of water! Caught 17 with the biggest 2 pounds 6 ounces. Had 4 big girls over 2 pounds! Getting better at this spider rigging, thanks so much for all the help from this site, and from watching Capps and Coleman and others on youtube!!
Made a couple 2 dropper drop shot rigs, and that worked well except I didn't use a 3 way and when I landed a few of the fish, I got a big tangle, but not too hard to sort out. Main line is yellow Crappie Max or something like that, and the dropper is trilene green, so that helped sorting the tangle.
Water temp was 66 degrees. Only briefly tried shallow, as I was getting bit, and they were big!!Attachment 335145Attachment 335146

Tangles and snags is why I don't fo tandems..... I'd rather be fishing than untangling lines.....LOL
Nice catches..... And some big'uns in the mix....

looks like some mighty fun stuff right there and to be sure those in that water depth likely marched shallow when it got dark it looks like to me . they often stage in around 10 foot of water and stay there in the daylight .
mighty fine looking fish there bud , congrats to you

You guys are killing me. Nice fish there. How is that Pirahna working out for you?
-
Thanks! The Pirahna is working great! I've had it about 10 years or so. I keep it in a bag in my boat, so it hasn't been babied. Cleaned quite a few speckled trout and redfish with it. Haven't been crappie fishing much until this year, and I rarely eat bass, so not too much fresh water fish cleaning until lately. I had to sharpen the blades. I used a ceramic stick. I think this is my 3rd set of blades. They have gone way up in price I see! I think I got mine for $29.99 at Academy back in the day.

Alright, appreciate it. When my old, trusty electric knife finally died, I bought a Rapala and it would start cooking eggs after about 12 fish.
