Fish Fry @ COE Picnic Shelter May 4th (fishing will be done from daylight til 1PM local time, then fish should be dropped off at the marina fish cleaning shelter & our fish cleaning crew will take care of them)
Sunday May 5th is an optional day of fishing & is not a required stay (no events are scheduled).
There is a 2 night minimum stay requirement for weekend cabin rental (per Holmes Bend policy). There are also one room Kamper Kabins available & they have no minimum stay requirement. There is a campground close by for tent/RV campers ... Holmes Bend Campground ... but is not owned/operated by the Holmes Bend Marina, so campers will have to contact/deal with the campground manager.
All members of Crappie.com are invited to attend, and may bring guests. The only stipulation for attending is that at least one person in the group is a current Crappie.com member. Door prizes will be given out after the fish fry meal is concluded. We will have a "goodie bag" for all attendees. Major prizes will be awarded by ticket draw to Crappie.com members. We also have a Jenko Big T Duralite Net to be given away to the biggest Crappie caught (weighing will be done by fish cleaning crew), for Crappie.com members that wish to participate. Fish must have been caught by a Crappie.com member ... this is on the honor system.
A volunteer list post is on the KY FORUM ... attendees are not required to volunteer to bring any food or preparation items to attend any part of the event. It's strictly on a volunteer basis as to what you wish to contribute to the event.
And as always, safety is our main concern ... so the event will be cancelled prior to the 48 hour cancellation notice required by Holmes Bend Marina for those renting cabins or Lodge rooms ... in the event of unsafe conditions forecast for the main event on Sat. May 4th
