At that time of the year Roy is right. When I used to fish Gaston My best creeks were the back of Holly Grove and Poplar creek. I long lined back then pulling 1/32 jigs. At that time of the year we used to catch some slabs!!!!
Years ago I did well in Lizard Creek.

Just saw your post, this year is not normal but if it would warm up ,I would get into any major creek and ride towards the back till it gets 10 feet and start fishing till motor kick up mud, but as for me I would look at those docks on deeper side and fish those start where water is 10 ft in middle.however if it keeps raining and cold, your quest is as good as mine,lol,pm me before you go and let me know which end of lake you will be at , may can help you,my my this weather, praise the Lord we are still doing wellQuote:
