I bought a new boat with a power drive trolling motor with built in transducer. It doesn't read di on it. Going to put a helix 7 up front guess everything will work but down imaging. Have a helix 12 on back so can use it there. Anybody else have this happen to them
The only trolling motor that has downscan is the new ones with the mega transducer. The rest of the Minnkotas has the US2 transducer that is 2D only.
If you hook up a Helix with DI to your Minn Kota US2. It will mess it up.

Use the transducer that came with the Helix 7; you can do an exchange for a puck style transducer that is made to mount on the trolling motor if that is where you would like to put it. Here is my Helix 7 with a trolling motor transducer mounted on a PowerDrive. Attachment 331040

Me either, with all the things that newer units can do it almost makes the US2 on the motor useless. You lose to many advantages of the newer units.Quote:

Now, will 2d from a HB DI unit work with US2? - no doubt it will work ...
But it's the user's decision knowing the disclaimer is stated as is ...
