New rods
If you could buy 4 of any rod out there to spider rig with, what would you get?
I'm just getting into it and I've had some fiberglass rods for a while but I dont think their going to work. I mainly fish gville but I do travel to some other lakes thru out the year.

For the money, it's hard to beat the B-N-M PST's (Pro Staff Trolling) I use mine for both spider rigging as well as long line trolling. I have been very satisfied with the performance. I long line both jigs and cranks with them as well as spider ring a double hook set-up with 3/4 - 1 oz. weight.

Denali if money is no object. Southern crappie best out there for just spider rigging and budget friendly. Indistructable.

I am with Cray on this, the best that money can buy. More back bone that PST. And very sensitive.

For straight up spider rigging I'd get a lighter action rod than a PST and a lighter weight rod than a Southern. I've got Jenko Spider-Trolls and really like them and I'll likely be the only one who mentions them in this thread. LOL

Southern pro for spider rigging, The 12' pulls cranks good also.

Ed Dukes is a great guy ! If I’m buying I’m going with Southern Pros. Those rods are tuff as nails! My 2nd choice will be B&Ms I like those too! :twocents

I like the B n M PST because of the versatility. I use them for long lining both jib and cranks and spider rig them. I really like the 12 and 14s.

I as well like the Jenkos, I've had mine for 1 year and had zero issues, not one broken tip and I pull mine in the boat, landed several large catfish and a big carp with mine this summer. I also like the Southern crappie rods, Cray let me try his when I was in Ms this summer and they are tough as nails. Haven't tried the Denailis but I would like to
