The King, aka DK and I went on a short excursion this morning before the rain moved in. Actually the outing had a duel purpose. The first was fishing, secondly I have had a nuisance issue with the "fast start" function of my motor, it took forever for it to idle down after starting. A choke like function if you will. Checking things out I found I had 2 bad thermostats not letting the motor warm up as it should. I replaced them Wednesday and wanted to see if the issue was resolved. It worked like a charm. Now back to the fishing report. We took off at 8am. First stop resulting in 7 fish, only 2 keepers. We opted to go check out some docks an a couple more shorts were added to the list. Of course, overcast, water temp was 46, water clarity was murky to stained. We fished mid to shallow depths. Slight current in the creek this morning. Panfish Assassin, limetruse glow was the more favorable color this morning. Rain started around 10, so to the trailer we went.
