I have been looking for an inexpensive way to get off the bank and to areas I just can't get to other wise. I was looking at kayaks, but with a stiff back with L4 problems, I don't think I could maneuver very well. I thought about something like a bass raider plastic boat but wasn't completely happy with the thought of lifting it into the back of a pick-up. I looked around for a while, and ran across a fellows videos that used to be out of Springfield that has since moved up toward Sedalia, (I think), named Winkiedoodles. The first ones I seen him fishing out of a belly boat, but some he was using an inflatable pontoon boat with a swivel seat. Most of the time I would be fishing smaller waters where that would be just the ticket. I found one on Amazon called The Roanoke, that's around 8 to 81/2 ft long and will hold up to 350 lbs. It don't come with the swivel on the seat but one can be purchased separately and installed.
Now I know that it has a higher profile on the water and all. But I believe it is my best bet for me. I just can't beat the Amazon Prime rate of $168.00 incl. shipping and the oars that come with it. Oh yea, theirs also instructable videos on modifying it for a trolling motor, and a business or two that makes strap on mounts for fish finders...:cheers2
