All my usual lakes high and muddy . Was bad windy yesterday but used my electronics to find a few . The slabs make the 11 to 12 inchers look tiny . They were all swung with red Huckabee rods . Some saying bite is better after dark on some places but just not a night owl anymore .:fish

I assume the Huckabee rods have a good spine since you swing your fish in.
I’m looking for a good backup rod since they don’t make the Slater rod I like I use now.
Would you consider it a good rod for fishing the shallow brush / trees with 2 ft of line out during the spawn ?
I’m looking for a 12 ft super light rod with a good spine.

Maybe a slow start but, those are some pigs. Good job CA.
They make several models but I never use anything super light . I caught 14 Crappie today and even 2 lbers swing in with ease . I also caught 3 catfish and a 4 lb Drum which I swung in just to test the pole . But 4 lbs is about the limit for the one I was using . :yikes
