OK, I will re-post. Some one ask If you can catch snake head in winter, and this was my reply.---------I caught one about three weeks ago on a minnow under a bobber in three feet of water at the Federalsburg Marina. I have caught six of them at the marina and fishing the creek. And all were by-catch while fishing for bass or crappie. Most, and maybe all were caught in cool. or cold weather. Just lucky catches. Just curious, do you eat those or what? I know you don’t put them back in the water lol

Oh, yes. We eat them. Probably some of the best fish you’re ever going to eat.

Watched a few YouTube videos about cleaning and cooking them. I’ve heard of them before but wasn’t sure about the eating. Cool fish

WOW! Nice one Don. I heard the DNR don't want you to release them, so I give mine to people in town that want them. Don, what body of water did you catch the snake head ? What state?
Md DNR does not want you to release them. They say their invasive species. This one was out of “The Chic” (Chicamacomico). I’m in Hebron.
