My wife and I spent a relaxing day on the boat Sunday. Water was fairly clear and 56°. We trolled minnows on Capps & Coleman rigs and brought home 7 nice keepers in the 1 - 1.25 lb range. A bunch of little ones were released. We did our best fishing in 40 FOW picking up suspended crappie at 25 ft. The big thrill of the day was my wife getting a double on one of her rods.

I fished both Thursday and Friday. It was a cold Thursday morning with a heavy frost and a cold breeze all morning. Both days were similar as far as catching goes. Action was slow early, then picked up nicely around 10:30. I was able to limit out both days. Tightling minnow tipped jigs in 20-28 foot of water was the technique used. Most fish were caught in a small section of the river around brush/structure. The bite was far better on Thursday, along with better quality fish than on Friday. All in all two good days on the water, especially since not fishing in 6 weeks due to boat being in shop.
