Garmin Panoptix LiveScope @ shut-up-and-fish

I Installed a Garmin unit with LiveScope yesterday on customer' boat and we went out to put it through the paces. In short, all I can say is that in the two hours we spent on the water I do not want to fish on another boat without it. Wow!! what a game changer. It is like playing pool and calling your shot.
Here is a short video. The video is not the greatest and we plan on getting back on the water soon and make something better. We only hit 4-5 spots and I am sure if we ran the course we would have come across stuff that was choked full of Crappie.
What amazed me the most was how straight out of the box and with two easy adjustments to the settings we were targeting and picking fish off of limbs. In looking back at the video where I said those must be bubbles, I am now believing we may have knocked off some algae on the limb with the jig and it was rising which stirred up the fish just before it bit. Amazing to finally see what has been happening below all these years of Crappie fishing and now be able to dial in things and pinpoint my bait where it should be instead of hoping I am in the right area. This my friends have increased my bite ratio as I can see where to place my bait in the strike zone.

Great question, for the video we had the Garmin Panoptix LiveScope which is the same unit for every display. for the display, we had the 12" Garmin 1222 GPSMAP no-sonar non-touch keyed only. That package runs $3399.98.

The packages above are 9" touch display.

How much less detail do you see on a 9" than you do on a 12" screen??? The best I can tell every video I have seen on this they are using a 12" screen.

It may not be able to get the fish to bite but the Garmin LiveScope continues to amaze me in clarity, and the ability to pinpoint bait presentation and accuracy. Here you see a tandem jig set up with a barrel swivel. You can see each one individually.

That is so cool!

Here is another video from the same deep water ledge with the Garmin LiveScope. You can see the fish follow my jig up. I am thumping the bait right on her nose. I drop below that fish and the others all come in and I get smacked and then the fish goes to the light. lol

How still does the boat have to be, and how well does it show up in rough water when trying to use Livescope?

I will try and do some footage in windy conditions but to answer your question it handles rough conditions well. If you look at the last video I posted you can see on the left side of the screen you depth. The grid is in 5' increments so you can imagine if you had 3' haves the bottom would be moving a little up and down but still fishable.

So I have the 93sv plus with the down and side scan ducer on my little 14’ tiller boat. I fish from the back of the boat and am looking at LiveScope ducer 010-01864-00. It says that is transom/trolling motor mount, so does it come with both mounting options? Also says it does LiveScope down and LiveScope forward with simple adjustment. What does the simple adjustment entail? Thanks

Hello Flint. and thank you for your question. Yes, the transducer comes with module and brackets to mount to the trolling motor shaft or barrel of the motor. It also comes complete with transom mon=unting hardware. To switch from forward or rear view (forward for trolling motor, rear for transom) you have to click/turn the transducer into downward view or forward view. The transducer has a position for either view but it is switched manually.

got another question.....if you are moving say 1 mph will the livescoop show the fish as good as it does sitting still???

Keep in mind that the LiveScope transducer has a 20-degree cone so when moving it will show the fish however it will be a now you see me now you don't situation.
