I have made and put out 4 crappie hurdles the past couple weeks. One was a cat litter bucket with concrete and set up like a stake bed with 8 foot and 6 foot stakes. The other 3 were weighted brush piles so big each that I had a hard time getting one at the time to ride on a 20 foot center console. I placed a float on them to hold them as upright as possible. I have a Helix 10 gen2 mega image and in an average 20 foot depth range can barely see these things. I thought they would stick out like a sore thumb on my Helix. I'm just hoping that they are big enough for a crappie. I think I might cut some wind blown trees off the shoreline and drag some huge limbs out and sink them. I can see other people's Christmas trees and barely see my own brush.
