Team Reelsmoke on Cherokee Lake
Thursday afternoon: Rolled into town around 3 pm and went straight to the back of a Cove and started throwing for bait caught enough pretty fast to go scout around a bit and dip a few before dark. Pull around a hour or so around Marker 24 with no takers. Went back to the landing and refilled the bait tank with some great looking bait for the next 2 days of fishing unknown waters
Friday : Water temp 72, clear skies on Friday we boated 6, lost or missed 6 on the upper end of the Lake between market 24-29 ...12.4 lbs was our biggest.
Saturday: it rained all night and was pouring when we put in at daylight. We moved to the lower end of the lake to fish an area near marker 9 reports of large numbers from Friday catch made us think that would be where we might find a large school gathering up. Rained hard until around 11 and we never did find the BIG school caught 1 nice Hybrid other than that and a few small mouth it was a bust. Should have stayed up in the river.
