Lowrance Screen Resolution/Quality

I have a question about Lowrance fish finders. I have a Lowrance Elite 5HDI (downscan) that was purchased in early 2015 and a Lowrance Elite 5TI (Total Scan with touch screen) that the best I can remember I purchased about 3 years ago. The 5HDI screen has a sharp high resolution screen (schools of crappie clearly discernable from schools of smaller shad, can see the limbs in a brush pile), but the 5TI screen has poor resolution (hard to tell the difference between a school of crappie and a school of shad, details of a brush pile are blurred). I would have thought the 5TI would be better than the 5HDI since it cost nearly twice as much. For those that have a 5 TI does your screen give you a sharp high-resolution image? Thanks for your help!

I had an Elite 5ti and was not happy with the screen
