After weeks of no crappie on our brush, lo and behold, we visited one of our old favorites. Lay down live tree over dead brush below. We dropped a big block loaded with bamboo about a year ago in front of this lay down as it was in 24 feet of water. Water temp 75 degrees and surprisingly clear after days of rain. Tipped a small white jig with a small minnow and flicked (is that a fishing term?) it right at the edge of the lay down. Kaboom! Pulled 9 of the most gorgeous wide bodied blacks you ever wanted. Shut off like a light in about 12 minutes.
