Logan Martin & Weiss Winter Draw Down Meetings with Army Corps of Engineers

If you fish Logan Martin or Weiss Lake during the winter months, please take time to read the below
press relief in regards to the winter draw down schedule. The Army Corps of Engineers will be hosting
forums for input from the public in regards to the amount of water they pull down for winter
pool. Currently the pull both lakes down 6' below summer pool. This can lead to loss of ramp access
and dangerous navigation. If there is enough public concern and input, there is a possibility of the
winter draw down to be held at 3' below full pool. This would make a big difference in ramp access as
well as dock access for homeowners. Please see below meeting dates and locations and spread the word to
all that may be affected. This could be our only chance to have our voices heard. Thank you "G" for

Hello Everyone, If you care anything about Weiss Lake or Logan Martin Lake, you need to read the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announcement below. We need to fill up the meeting rooms in Gadsden and Rome on the dates and locations below.We have been asking for higher water levels in the winter, and this may beour only chance to make it happen. Weiss Lake and Logan Martin’s winter water level is on the agenda at the 2 meetings noted below. Spread the word to everyone you know, and ask them to attend these 2 meetings. Very, Very, Important. Only dropping Weiss’s and Logan Martin’s winter water levels by 3 ft. for winter pool, instead of 6 feet, would be very beneficial to Weiss and Logan Martin Lakes. Think about it; higher water levels in winter means better access at boat ramps, would protect the existing habitat that is now exposed and decaying in winter,more usable lake front property, increased property values, safer lake water levels in winter for navigation, and so much more.
