Keeping it weird
Liberals in town like to suggest Austin is different and their mantra is to Keep Austin Weird. All I know is Lake Austin continues to be weird with water temp at our ramp 72 degrees and at the 360 Bridge it is 82. Caught this nice one in 10 feet of water next to 7 1/2 foot brush pile.

Can't get much weirder than that. Might have to sit on the boat ramp after pedaling around.

lucky you …..water temps in the 90 range up this way and the fish are getting light headed from the heat ….:Rofl

That is weird, what causes that water temp? We haven’t seen 72 for a couple months

Yes inquiring minds want to know where is the melt coming from to cool that water?

Sorry I took so long to reply. Lake Austin is a constant level lake and gets its inflow upstream from the bottom of Lake Travis. Hundreds of feet deep at the dam therefore water temp can vary 15+ degrees from one end of the lake to the other. Sounds good one might say as you could target the crappie based on water temp to know where they might be. Not—just seems to confuse them. I still love our lake though and pull these bad boys out occasionally. Attachment 310915
