Jacobs pill head
I am wanting to buy 1/16, 1/8, and 1/4 jacobs pillhead 1 of each wth swivel and shoulder barb and one of each without shoulder but with swivel. Hook size doesn't matter. I hate to spend $300.00 without looking at them
Thanks
Tom

Tman, why you want that over pony head. Unless you plan to pour for selling they work just as well. It's the blade that really attracts the fish anyway. You can buy a multi cavity pony head mold that pours each size one at a time but if your just pouring for your own use you would be surprised how many you can pour in a couple of hours. 35-40 dollars vs 300.

they are good molds. You wont find many molds out there in the pill head form from what I have seen. I got a buddy that has the pill head molds and love them. I have 2 on order right now.

I customized the 1/16 and 1/8 oz when they came out to hold a wire keeper. Jacob's are the bast lead molds I've used. Many complaints though of people not being able to get the barb molds to fill completely. This is due to them just running lead across the gates like you can with Do-it's. I find this practice sloppy. I insert the spout of the pot into each cavity of every lead mold I pour. This fills the cavity completely. Comes in real handy when you have a small head with say a wire keeper, guard or whatever in it. There is also a trick to painting the heads that was taught to me by JW. Takes practice but once you get it down it is fast and beats wrapping aluminum around the swivel like some do. After I heat the head I quickly dip the tip of the swivel into water just for a second. You will hear a sizzle. Then dip in paint. You will have minimal paint if any on the swivel. Like I said takes practice so be prepared. Here are some I've made.
