Slow day for me. Bridge pulling were covered with whatever bream that’s is? Morning weather was beautiful. Rain moved in around lunch. We took the break in rain to load up early.
On a bright note, at least my bacon this morning is perch shaped.

I too bugged out when the rain rolled in. I figured since I had a cold already I didn't need to sit in the rain for two more hours. Anyway the perch and crappie got the better of me that day. Fish a few areas with only a half dozen small crappie, a large flyer, and wouldn't you know it 4 small bass up to 1.25 lbs. I haven't caught 4 bass total all winter crappie season and had 4 in one day. Go figure. I fished some areas above the park as well as a couple closer to the VA / NC border. The water got dirtier the further down the river you went. Marked fish just not many takers. I heard Bill had a nice crappie. Not sure if it was a winner or not.
I won the crappie side of the bash Feb 10, 2018 with a 10.7 fish. Every time I looked over at Dean he was pulling in another fish .I Thought Dean had the winning fish on his stringer looked like he had about 10 lbs of fish on his stringer. I would like to dedicate this win to JIM. B who ha been a fiend to me since joined crappie .com. Good luck in Georgia Jim catch um all. I threw my winning fish back in the river so he's still there to fight anther day. Nice to see everybody again.
