No love from the North Landing River today.
I have had good luck on this river during the warmer months, catching as many as 86 crappie but I had never fished it during the winter so I gave it a try today. Spent about 5 hours with nothing to show for it but one small white perch. I worked the mouths of a few creeks, went up West Neck Creek and Pocaty Creek as well as tried a few spots near the old Pungo Ferry Bridge but no takers. Oh well, at least I burned up some old gas in my Lund. I showed surface water temp at 44-47.
