Delighted Evinrude ETEC Owner
I own a 2015 50hp ETEC that came with a 7yr warranty. To my surprise this warranty came with "NO Strings" attached....you see about a couple months ago I would get a clicking noise when putting shifter into reverse until engaging & finally a month ago no engagement at all. I was headed out of town for the Holidays, so figured would be the best time to take it in for assessment. Was found to be a bad "dog" throw-out bearing, so made sense & agreed to have the work done. Some time passes & the Marine shop calls & informs me that they are sending pics for warranty, ect.. Thought, here we go, they'll find some reason to NOT warranty, however, 180 happens & Evinrude decides to send a entire "new" lower unit instead of bearing replacement, due to labor cost. Can you say early XMAS present & not only that...they send a new impeller due to it's up coming 3yr maintenance program & work to be preformed would be in this area=Pro-Active company. So fast forward today, whereas, I tested operation for the 1st time....flawless, no worries. THANK YOU Evinrude for standing behind your products, definitely why I purchased another motor after previously owning a 25hp Evinrude tiller that gave me 20+ yrs of excellent service!!:biggrin P.S. All work, labor/parts, not 1 PENNY!
