Well it was one of those days. Started the day off at 6:30am after a good night's sleep with a nice hot cup of coffee. Weather is not all that great, at least for the Texas Panhandle, 19 degrees with a wind chill of 5 degrees. I've fished a lot worse, but its doable. We get to the lake and unload without a hitch. It's going to be a good day! Make a short run to a long point that comes off of a big flat and runs all the way out to the middle of the lake to 30 FOW with a nice hump 30 yards off of that. Shad and fish are stacked....OMG! So heres where things get interesting. I make a hard turn to go back and mark the top of the hump and end of the point and the gears in the helm strip when I go to straighten out. Now I'm in a hard left turn 3 miles south of the ramp in a stiff, cold, north wind. I would have loved to stay and fish it but was afraid I would need ever bit of the TM batteries to get back in that wind.
I keep pouring good money after bad to keep that piece of junk on the water. I think this is the final straw. I refuse to put another dime into it. I've thought about selling it, but setting off 5lbs of tanerite in it would be much more enjoyable. Stay tuned there could quit possibly be a kewl video coming up in the near future.
