I wouldn’t trade places with anyone! We started the week with a wedding for our youngest daughter. It was an absolutely beautiful day, especially considering it was November 5th. Sunny skies, with highs in the mid 70’s, and the fall colors were popping! Here is a very lucky guy walking his bride of 36 years down the aisle.Attachment 279921
Yeah, I do clean up occasionally! Since it is Veteran’s Day, I will mention that my favorite Vet got to attend. The fact that he was in attendance was an answer to my daughter’s prayers!Attachment 279922
Finally, a couple of the main attraction! We are proud of her, and like her Mom, is pretty easy on the eyes!Attachment 279923Attachment 279925
I’m a lucky guy!
With that being said, my fishing has suffered due to wedding prep and work. This afternoon, we finally had some free time, so off we go. The water temp had really dropped since the last time out. 59-60 degree surface temps was what we found, and the water was plenty muddy. A lot of current was being pulled, so what do we do? We tried some brush in a few places, but no takers. Plan B was try some docks. I tried shooting, skipping, and fishing the edges. Nope. Finally, I tried the end of a dock on the “up current” end, and got that heavy rod feeling. Bingo! Tried the same recipe on several more docks, and caught some more! I never did feel a thump, just got heavy. The lure that finally scored was black and chartreuse. Arkie tube and BGBS, but they had to be black and chartreuse! Caught some nice ones, and some that would have to be stretched to make 4”! I like seeing these little guys, because that means I’ve got fish for the future years! It was great to get back in the saddle. BTW, they all are still swimming!Attachment 279926Attachment 279927Attachment 279928
