Good luck trying to determine if it's part of the recall or not. A year ago there was a similar recall on extinguishers. Same manufacturer. I could not find the corresponding numbers on the extinguisher, so I brought it to our fire station and they tried as well, but were unable to determine if it was part of the recall or not! They suggested that I just buy another one and keep the questionable extinguisher as a backup. Please do let us know if you find the appropriate numbers on the extinguisher you have and where they are located. Thanks!
Checked both of mine this morning. Both are on the recall list and did the online submission.
It took a few minutes to correctly determine the model/date code/serial number. I finally printed the instructions, looked at the fire extinguisher, plugged the numbers in a couple of times in the online form. Finally it accepted the numbers.
Getting the numbers entered correctly is the key. The online system was a bit finicky. Once I figured out the first one, the second was easier...except I had to get a magnifying glass to read the numbers. I guess my eyes don't read those small numbers like they use to:dono
Since I was 2 for 2 on the recall, I recommend all take a few minutes to check.
I too could not find the numbers. My model number is part of the recall but the date stamp was missing. So I'll just buy another one also but it will be from a different manufacturer for sure. I recommend all y'all getting a different brand if you have to replace your extinguisher.
