New to Crappie

Hello All,

I am new to the world of crappie, so new that weather permitting Saturday it will be my first time Crappie fishing. I want to take my 13 yr old son and do my best to get him onto some fish, what would be ideal location this time of year(im not asking for your spots lol) on Watts Bar just maybe some guidance as to whether i am better off in deep water on the main channel or shallow in a slew. Artificial or Live Bait. Thanks alot for any pointers you can throw my way. Cant wait to try this.
