Another possible issue might be the spawning. If you look back at posts over the last couple of years we have had some extreme weather issues right around the time of "normal" spawning. As a result, many of us are catching fish that still have eggs in them in late June. Well after the spawn is supposed to be over. This has been the case the last couple of years. Usually it means the fish did not spawn (certain ones anyway) and the eggs will desolve or drop and be useless. This might explain the decline in several lakes over the last year.
