Took a ride and checked these two out. Never been there before. 2 hours to Taum Sauk and 2 1/2 hours to Clearwater. Anyone have suggestions on these 2 places? Found the dirt ramp on Webb Creek first but then found campgrounds with good ramps.

i live on clearwater. best place to put in is piedmont park or bluff view marina. taum sauk is so hit or miss with constant water fluctuation from the hydro dam. anyway check online MDC website has a brush pile map for clearwater. when crappie start biting, these are somtimes decent spots to hit. also fishing open water trolling produces as well. just slow right now and will be for a few weeks or a month. takes along time for that lake to warm up. water tempd in the very low 50s right now some places in high 40s but best i found was 52 degrees in a dingy mud flat.
Thanks for info. MDC website says not a good year for crappie of size because of bad spawn in previous years. It says it is a good place for white bass. Is this true? Like catching them. How busy does that place get in spring and summer ?
