Online biding
There's an online bid site close to me. They have returned items mostly so I drive by to check them out before bidding/buying.
Our last camping trip my son needed a 30 amp extension cord. Mine are old and the plugs had a cracking sound when plugged in. We went to walmart for a new 25' cord, $50.
The online site has a cord with the Ez Grip plugs. It's bid is at $5 and a few days left for bidding so I put it on my watch list.
Camco 30M/30F Amp 25' PowerGrip Extension Cord 125V/3750W
I open my account to see what the cord is at bid this morning, $176. No way! I copied the link and did a search. walmart shows it at $50. When I click on their link I find it at $30. I go to my Ebates account and order 2 with free shipping to my house. I got an email from Ebates, They added $2.40 to my account, 2% cash back. When it gets over $15 they will send me a check. Since I made a $50 purchase from walmart, Ebates is sending me a $20 walmart coupon.
The black replacement plugs for my cords are @ $9. The Ez Grip plugs are @ $17. Almost cheaper to buy the new cords than to repair them.

I just put a bid in on Ebay for a Scoutguard Trail camera. 10 meg pics, black IR, 100' detection and 76' flash range. It's a $180 camera so just for kicks and giggles, I bid like $56.51 or something like that. Thinking there was no way I was gonna win it, I bought a Browning camera for about $100. I got a YOU WON notice in the Scoutguard day before yesterday. LOL had to explain to Nessa yI had 2 cameras coming. I do like me some Ebay.

I picked up a few super dirt cheap items today. I talked to the owner about the extension cord. The high bidder was using a phone and got fat fingers, ment to enter $20.00, but entered $2000.00. Another bidder ran it up. The owner can't do a thing about it. Let the bid run it course, don't pay for it. You get a black mark then the item goes back up for bid.
2 black marks and you get kicked out.
All bids start at $2.
They charge $3 for local pick up. $1.98 handling fee. They are added to the bid price then tax is added.
A $2 winning bid ends up costing $7.47.
The company that sent the item to them gets the bid price for the product. They get the handling and pick up fees.
They do ship, UPS.
