Rathbun is a good lake I'm starting to guide there this year been fishing it since early 80's. on 4/24 I caught 15 or so staging fish about 8' fow in about an hour was doing more prepping than fishing it should be better now. I think there will a fair number of 1.5/2lbs fish this year. Im on facebook crappiehuntr guide service.
Red Rock is also extremely good this year, with likely the largest class of 12-15" fish in the last decade. They have moved into rocky shorelines and brush and can be caught with jigs and minnows.
great! man that's the kinda stuff i'm looking for.... tanks

Hi, this is Crappie Thumper. My first day on the Forum. Hopefully this gets to you and I can find your answer. I will look up your website. I'm looking for a guide for a day on Lake Rathbun next spring. Hopefully I can leave my phone number. It is 515-269-2134
Corey Batterson is a Guide I know he does Red Rock and probably would do Rathbun. Here is a you tube video of him guiding Red Rock.

Can't seem to come up with a number, he has a FB page.
Thanks so much, I got a hold of Bill Wagner. He also guides Red Rock and Lake Rathbun. Red Rock sounds pretty touchy depending a lot on the water level. I plan to fish both this year though. Keep on thumping those crappies.
