10 plus 10 after 10 equals .......

10 inches deep ....10 inches off the bank .....after 10 pm ......equals ketchn .....:highfive
they really really load up in the dark ...
they get right tight to the bank and do what they dont in the daylight at this particular spot .
of course one must wear ones pfd and have a tiny glow stick on ones float .....
and be prepared to hang a few things here and there when ya pitch ....
sure is fun stuff to play in the dark with em ......no whales were harmed in this episode .....
white crappie boys and girls were both at it shallow .....the things that go thump in the dark it was .....
we ketched white bass and bluegill as well .....and until my next adventure ....

So are you fishing for spawning crappie? Ours have not started to spawn yet. May try this?

I know exactly what you're up to buddy. I was doing the same thing a couple of weeks ago. We don't have many white crappie in my area or I would still be doing it. Congrats buddy.

they are spawning for sure and have been for quite a while ....
it was t shirt nice weather and these fish in this lake seem to be more busy at night than in the daylight
night time in the spring when the spawn is going is a simply great time to wear them down
quietly though as they spook easily and CAN see better than you in the dark for sure

Thanks. I have caught them at night many a times through the ice. But never tried that in spring.
I'm guessing shallow flats?
Also what do you normally use under your float?
Through the ice at night its either jigs in glow with waxies or minnows on slip bobbers. Thanks for the tip!
