I would add, check for the plug in the boat.

I am probably the only one, but unplug the onboard charger. More than once I have looked in the rear view and saw a 50 ft extension cord chasing me!
My Thermos full of Coffee. Forgot it last Sunday and it almost ruined my day not having it!
