Here is a link that came from weather.com that explains not only what the solar and lunar tables mean, but where they came from. It also explains the tides as they relate to the sun and moon cycles. This is pretty good stuff. It explains what you are looking at when you are reading the major and minor feeding times and what days of the month will be the best. It's pretty long, but it's well worth reading.
