I would definitely rent a boat, if your not familiar with the lake the stumps will ruin your boat.
Are the rentals insured for insurance to cover an accident??
I rent them from bo's landing, you can get minnows there too, I don't know if they're insured, I just run the heck out of them and smack stumps all day, they're usually 5hp Jon boats with two seats, make sure you ask for an anchor or bring one with you, I like to tie off on the trees too. I like to stay at boyetts resort at the cabins, pretty good prices.
