Bull shoals
Heading to Bull shoals next week. Staying near K dock. We are going to target crappie and walleyes. We did ok last spring one day trolling hot n tots for walleye. And we did ok last fall casting sliders for crappie. We are still pretty new to this lake and would be open to suggestions for that area or the area near Theodosia. I would think things would be good this week statewide. Good luck to everyone

I've fished that area a few times.
Very nice lake.
Check out the MDC website for a list of brush piles in the theodosia area.
I usually download them to my GPS/fish finder and navigate that way.
Good luck

Haven't fished Bull for years but we uses to catch some really nice fish late spring throwing 1/8 oz road runners on chunk rock banks.

See Bob Bochert in the Theodosia Marina or his son Brian, I believe they still do some guiding.

Is brian originally from that area?
-
No they're from Franklin county.

I think I went to high school with him.

In Theodosia try the old bridge which is just below the existing bridge, it is under water but is easy to find. There is several brush piles above the bridge on the flats and are easy to find. I catch a lot of crappie there. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. We ended up having to come back early, but intend to come back again in the fall if possible. Perhaps if we get to we will check out that area then. We couldn't find the crappie but we did catch a lot of walleye a few smallies and some nice largemouth.
