Mystery bobber - help
I found these at a local tackle supply. Guy said several of the best crappie guys around buy them but he has no idea how the work. They seem perfect, light, but cast well - perfect for shallow water spring crappie fishing. Only problem is a 1/16ounce jig sinks it! and 1/32 pulls it way down. So what is it designed for? Minnows? They only sold one sizeAttachment 194739

Never seen one. Neat little float.

IMHO Looks like a slip float that you would only tie a hook and some "BB" size shots to to fish Trout or Bluegill on lt. Seems as if they would put a bobber stop above it and then run the line on through the outside rings instead of the inside like in a traditional slip float. Tie on a hook and "bb" split shot to balance it. Put some wax worms on it and go for it.

Probably Canadian bobber. Looks to be a slip bobber that can be used on either end to have the white or the red sticking out of the water.
I agree that it is used for small panfish. I can use a #10 hook and 1 BB size weight and have the smallest bobber I own and it will not sink. In fact I sometimes have to use 2 BB weights. If I use a minnow with a larger hook (#1) then only 1 BB.
