the time is drawing near

well it's mid march and for some ungodly reason the ice seems to be holding on like the claws of the devil here in western md but the warm temps being around 50 here for the last few days have seemed to have melted the edges on some of the lakes so that soon mens it'll be time to get the boat fired up lubed up and ready to roll . I missed the crappie spawn last year work just didn't seem to adjust to the time I needed of especially since we just started back and that seems like that is also going to happen this year but hopefully the crappie will get the memo and hold of for the big runs to the shallows till sat and sundays lol.

You need to get your boat ready, I have been fishing from the bank as my boat has been in the shop. I've fished every day this week and have caught only two crappie!

would drive me nuts if my lakes were iced over this time of year
