We have a deli here that I noticed would have 1or 2 5 gallon buckets with lids sitting outside their side entrance. I asked if I could buy them and they said "help yourself. We put them out and if they sit there for a while we trash them." I got 2 to 3 every week when I was making crappie brush piles. I have since learned that several restaurants will either give them to you or sell cheaply.
Firehouse Subs sells them and donates the money to local firemen funds.
6 gallon is kind of an odd size, but check with some restaurants.
ok thanks
Check craigslist. I know there is a guy on there that sells them in SW LR for $1 each. Or might check with some farmers for hydrolic fluid buckets, or resturants.
I don't know if they are 6 gallon or 5 gallon, but you can buy buckets with lids at Lowes. I bought a couple so I could drain the oil out of my Cajun Cooker. I don't remember the price but $4 or $5 I think.
What ya doing with buckets bob?
Check with your local car washes. The soap they use comes in 6 gallon buckets. It's where I get mine when they'll turn em loose. Takes a regular bucket lid.
Lowe's are 5 gal buckets. The 6 gal buckets I use for baseball to keep balls in and there a little higher off the ground for my fat but to get off of.:biggrin 5gal do work good and are lighter with less balls to carry on long walks caring them. I will hit the carwash up to see. Thanks
Go to Chinese resturants and ask. Harold did have buckets with screw on lids.
