I think the changes were perfectly fine! I think the 100% payout tourney is in the right month and there will definitely be some big weights brought in for that one... I also like the fact that it is also a classic qualifier, that should also draw more people out there... And most of all I LOVE the fact that the classic is in October, I know most people would argue Springtime is the best, but in my experience fishing Oconee, October/November is the best time of the year to catch those big slabs and I cant wait!!! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I'll see yall out on the water in 2014

Getting close to tournament time! Don't forget to check the web site for updates and get your entry/membership paid before late fees apply. My boat is down so if anyone is fishing solo and wants a decent net man let me know.

Hope you have all enjoyed your summer. We have our Classic coming up in October on the 11th. We also will have our last qualifier tournament coming up too. The date of the last qualifier will be October 10th. That's the Friday before the Classic and is also on Oconee. This gives everyone enough time to schedule time off and get their pre-fishing in before October 10th. These WILL BE two separate tournaments on two consecutive days. Regular season rules apply unless noted below:
- Be sure to bring CASH only to the tournaments for entry fees. We will be paying out CASH and prizes. We will not be taking checks, PayPal, or any other payments for either tournament.
- The Points Champions will be decided and paid out on Friday October 10th at the weigh-in along with that day's tournament winners.
- The Classic tournament will be paid out separately on Saturday October 11th at the weigh-in.
- Entry fees for Friday are still $120 for the regular qualifier tournament with $20 from each boat going into the Points Champions payout and includes the Big Fish.
- The Classic entry fee is $150 which includes the Big Fish.
- The Classic is limited to no more than two adults per boat/team.
- All boats entering in either tournament must be brought to the morning Sign-up for live well checks.
- Sign-up Captains meetings both days is 5:30 until 6:30 AM at Sav-A-Lot BP on Hwy 44 just North of Lick Creek boat ramp.
- Fishing hours for both days will be 7 AM until 3:30 PM with weigh-in cutoff time being 4:30 PM both days. Both days weigh-ins will be at Sav-A-Lot BP.
I still don't have email addresses for everyone. Feel free to pass this info on to anyone you think would be interested in our tournaments. Thank you again for your interest and participation in our tournaments!
