Lake Marian Help
I may be visiting the Kenansville area for a week to ten days in mid-October. I have never been in this area before and never been on Lake Marian. What could I expect in regards to the fishing that time of year? Any advise in regards to lake locations, baits and fishing techniques would be helpful and appreciated.

Heres a link to a report made back in March. I have never fished there. Lake Kissimmee is very close as the crow flies but 35 minutes or so to drive down the turnpike through Yeehaw Junction and back across 60 but a good lake too.
Fishin813 might know more about Marian.

I fish this lake every year and do pretty good. We have not gone this early. Late Oct . When you come out of the boat ramp there is a cove to your left , this gets really good in late Oct ,Nov. The lake runs sort of east to west. Boat ramp is on Northeast side, Go west on the South bank about 3 mile and there is a point with a deep drop. We did some spider rigging there a couple of years ago and caught our limit. Also directly across from there on North side you will see some Really tall Antennas in the distance from where you are fishing the point , line yourself up between the two and head to the North bank. We drifted this area as well about 8 ft of water . 100 yds from shore. The guy at the store there will give you some good intel. Please let me know how you do. Good fishin.
