I'm new to Crappie.com and I have been enlightened. I just picked up crappie fishing again this spring after a 20 year layoff, and did you know that you can catch these little buggers from a boat. When I started fishing for crappie 35 or so years ago I thought you had to sneak down the bank to a fallen tree and throw a minnow about 18 to 24 inches below a bobber.
Wow, thanks to Crappie.com and youtube I found out you can fish from a boat, with a jig or even a double jig, with or without bobbers. Crappie can even be caught in 20+ feet of water by trolling and jigging. Holy crap why didn't anyone ever tell me this before. And the topper of all, crappie get bigger than 9". Man oh man keep feeding me this info guys.
P.S. My wife is is a little hot that I can't stop buying new crappie rods, reels, jigs, cranks, rod holders, hats, shirts, sunglasses, decals and the list goes on. Can you ever have enough stuff to crappie fish. I feel like a kid in a candy shop.
