Yes I was in Florida for 5 days fishing for the good eating Red Ear Sun Fish or Shell Cracker. When we got their Sunday the Crackers were coming into the bedding areas but the Storms Sunday night stopped this process. They did begin to come back in Tuesday Afternoon and Wednesday was wide open. My ole buddy Billy Minton and I caught a limit (50 each) Wednesday and carried back to Georgia 200 Panfish (Bream) and 25 Specs (Crappie). It was a very good trip and two old childhood friends really enjoyed this place in Astor, Florida. We met many good people from all over this nation and we all had a common goal, Catch fish and enjoy the St. Johns River.
You can catch Specs from the crack until high Sun every AM but they are small this year compared to the past...
If you don't even fish, it is worth the trip to Astor and just river this famous river and check out God's handy work. Beautiful place.Attachment 123046Attachment 123047Attachment 123048Attachment 123049Attachment 123050
